Putting Pawpaw to work

Pawpaw came over to work on our hot water heater which decided to not work anymore:/ Thanks be to pawpaw for his hard work and being retired to do this on short notice:) Pawpaw made sure to stop by and see Ellie before he left. She was so interested in his hat. We had to capture the moment:)

Guess who made it to our bed AGAIN! Goes down great at 8:00-8:30. Wakes up for that last feeding and she can't go back to sleep. Steve may have rocked her, walked around for 30 minutes and Ellie is even snoring but when you release her into bed...BAM she is awake :/ I know...let her cry it out.....I DON'T WANT TO MISS SLEEP bc she is crying for who knows how long!!! HELP!!!

But I still love you Ellie. Momma wants her bed back. I don't do this bc of snuggle cute time, I do this to keep sanity :)

60's kinda day

This is what I am listening to while doing my clients hair today. Maybe 60's music makes me think of warm, sunny beach days.

One day...

I was sitting here dreaming of sand and clear blue water and just wanted to show you exactly where my mind is at. I promise you I will see Bora Bora one day. I hope to stay in a hut over the water. Look at how amazing. Oh the beach...how I need to feel you in between my toes.

Ok, so it's almost been 3 days that I have given up carbs and sugar completely. WOW! I have been staring at this picture for about 6 minutes now and can't help but lick my lips over and over.Reese cups are my FAVORITE FAVORITE candy in the WORLD. Well maybe it's just chocolate and peanut butter I am loving. I can hear my belly growling and then I look down and think. LOOK AT THAT BELLY!  Eating carbs and sugar and not keeping track of how many times a day I would eat them has caused my body to be at a stand still. The last 24 pounds to get back to PRE-baby weight is my goal. I know it will take time, hard days, easy days, exercise days to get to my destination goal.

I just needed to share this picture with my family and friends who I know care about me and my family. To help everyone  understand WHY I can't eat your chicken, mac and cheese, pizza or desserts. I am giving myself a few weeks of no no's to certain foods and I hope to bring them back but in moderation.

Ok, I really really just need a bite of this cake! Oh, Lord.....help me. Can someone make this cake for me when I am done in a few weeks?

SNOW!!!!!

Wow. It has been coming down on our side of town like crazy, streets are covered and it's sticking for sure:)!!!!!

Ellie's first SNOW!!!

We were so excited to get her outside we forgot socks and a hat. Sorry Mom I know I can hear you now. I ran upstairs to get her hat. That was NOT enough. It's really chilly outside compared to yesterday.

I was very excited to put her in the snow suit I got her back in '11. I didn't think we would have snow for her see. It fits her well and I believe she enjoyed the snow.

Red Lobster

Ellie joined Tanya and I at Red Lobster for lunch. We are celebrating Tanya being smoke free for 6 months!!!!! It's so amazing what prayer can do for someone and believe me...everyone had prayed for many years for her to let go and give those up.

Daddy and his Girl

Yup! She is really turning into Daddy's girl. Every time Steve left the room she cried for him to come back. Uh oh! This could be the beginning of some disaster:/ Although look how happy she is to sit beside him:)
I am a Daddy's girl so maybe she got it from me.

Happy Valentine's Day...early.

I gave Steve his gifts tonight. He can hang BOTH of them up at his job so he can see how much Ellie and I love him:) Ellie gave him a heart that says: Thumb body loves you ( I stamped her thumb).
The picture frame is a list of dates that are special to Steve and I. Our first date, the day he proposed to me, our wedding date and Ellie's birth day. Didn't cost much and filled with lots of love:)
