Crafty crafty

Ok! So I made some "Fall" wreaths in hopes that it will get here sooner than I believe it will. I even started putting out my decorations for the fall. Ha!

Back on the saddle again.

I am working on week 3 of working out! I have kept my goal of working out at a minimum of 3 times a week. I have found myself working out 5 times one week. I have the runners bug going on. This is a peaceful workout to me. Listen to music, look at Gods scenery and find my happy place and look forward.
Steve and Ellie have also been doing their workouts throughout the weeks as well. Steve pushes Ellie in the jogger stroller and has even been jogging. We can tell we have been working out harder than normal because we find ourselves so hungry. Gotta feed that machine, Steve sys.
Thanks to Leigh she put together a workout plan and I also use my iPhone apps to keep track of my workouts and goals. Technology is awesome :) Getting prepared for the 5k's coming this fall and losing weight before the holidays hit as well.

Yeah to healthy living, getting those happy endorphins back in our body and saying goodbye to stress.

I feel connected

It's been 2 days since a client of mine has passed away. Her name is Jill Bailey Chenet. She lived in D.C. And was a reading teacher to deaf children. She was 6 months pregnant with her soon to be daughter,Olive. Jill and her husband went to Nagshead beach to enjoy a vacation together before the baby got here. They came together and left never the same.
Jill walked out into the ocean only to find the sand sinking very quickly beneath her and a rip tide caught her and took her out. Her husband tried desperately to save her but he also was trying to stay alive. Jill was not breathing when help came and they flew her to another hospital and that's where she and baby Olive were pronounced dead.
I have been shaken over this for 2 days now. It seems being a mother I feel connected to Jill. Not as a stylist but a Mother. To know she was able to feel baby O kick inside her, feel her get the hiccups, maybe Jill even got to sing to her. To know this experience myself, we have a connection. I just can't bare to think or believe she won't get to hold her baby, kiss her cheeks, listen to her laugh or snore or to sing her to sleep.
Her husband is still in critical condition as of right now. He needs to be lifted up every day to face his life changes, when he is able to know what happened. To lose your wife, your 1st unborn daughter seems like a horror movie. I keep saying this is not real it seems fake. I just have a deep love for my family and child that I have to think and remember, that this life is not ours. We are not promised tomorrow. So tonight, tomorrow and every day I am blessed to be here, I will love my family a little harder, squeeze Ellie a little longer and make my relationship with Steve stronger.

Bathroom remodeling

I took it upon myself to paint the bathroom. I know Dad is very busy and I thought that I could totally wing it myself. So far....I am happy. I used a semi-gloss color called: Sea Sprite. It may have been influenced from our beach trip. Seeing as I miss the breeze and sound of the water. The sink top will eventually be changed out and a little more decor will happen on the shelves with a new mirror and light fixture. Slowly....this will come together.

Little Momma

Ellie is already showing her mommy side. Takes care of her baby and gives it milk and orange juice. You can see Pawpaw bracing himself before getting hit with the bottle. Haha.

Future shampoo girl

Ellie got to take turns giving Avery and Jack a head scrubbin. She must have paid attention when Mommy shampoos her hair because her technique looks great!!

We have been here since 8:00am and finally getting to have an interview at 4:30pm. That is a long, long, LONG time to stand in line. But I love my Tanya so anything I can do ;)

Happy Birthday ELLIE

 Happy Easter. I was 6 months prego with Ellie in this picture. Steve just said: If we only knew what was coming. HA!

 HAPPY DAY! Baby is COMING OUT!!! I made sure to get the MOST sleep I could the night before b/c I knew it would NEVER be the same. Poor Steve....he didn't sleep. period. But what a support he was !!!

      SISTER LOVE!!! How happy I was to have ALL the ladies above and below by my side during this amazing moment in life. I could NOT have made it without these 'already' Mommies to help push me through. You all WILL be there again if there is another one. *wink*

        Sister Kris!!!  She kept her brother calm, talked me through my epidural and cleaned up my mess. What a lady to have in my life :) She truly was a blessing to prepare us for what was to come with such detail and to hold Steve up in case he decided to faint.

  OUR BUNDLE OF JOY! Can you believe she is here?! I was in such a state of shock at this point that looking at her across the room, I didn't know if I should cry or laugh or smile.  When she met my arms....I was hooked.

Pool time

Thanks Aunt Connie for letting us join or CRASH your pool time. I would love to bring Ellie more so please let us know when your going again. Is there a limit on how many times I can go?? Maybe we will just join next year :)
