A BIG thank you goes out to The Bonos for watching Ellie this weekend while Steve and I attend a wedding. Without you both this would not be possible for us. We know that Ellie is in good hands and hope she is not too much trouble for you at night. We are only a phone call away :) Congratulations to Patty and Sam this weekend. I will be sure to post pictures on the blog while we are away. I am so excited to eat NY Pizza, NY burgers, donuts and....WAIT all of this consists of FOOD. The good side is there will be a LOT of walking to get to these food joints, so I will totally burn off some calories :)

A week from tomorrow WE CAN DIG OUR TOES IN THE SAND TOGETHER!!!! I can hear the waves now, I can smell the wet shells, I can hear the birds, children laughing, I feel the breeze on my face and the sun beating against my body. The memories to come from this trip...I CAN'T wait.

Ellie spent the day with Daddy on the lake. The poker run was taking place on the water so Steve headed down to the lake to hang with his buddies and get out on the boat. Steve had to change her diaper and Ellie decided to stand up and air out. Silly girl! Cute cheeks I might add :)

Finished!!!!

We did it!!! Finish time was 39:00 minutes. ((This was NOT Connie's goal but she would not leave her sister behind:))Which is awesome because I set a goal to finish under 40:00. I have NOT RAN that far in almost 2 years. The first race I did my time was 37:23. And back then I had started Crossfit. So this felt amazing. I could not have finished without my sister saying GO GO GO, you got this, small steps, chest up, wiggle your fingers. We switched places from 2 years ago. Connie helped pull me thru due to her consistent working out with Jillian and P90X. She has been encouragement and a motivator bc I want my body to look like hers. To MAKE the time to work out:) Thanks for the fans on the side of the greenway cheering us on!! What a great encouragement you all were!!! So here's to the NEXT 5K ...

Ellie had her first trip in the carriage today after breakfast at Famous A's in South Roanoke. She loved it but did not stay awake very long to enjoy the scenery. This was some great family time. But don't worry we are not taking all this to the beach, Dad:)
