Such a wonderful explanation I heard today, thanks CHY.
I have been feeling overwhelmed and saddened by actions around me. Actions of this world and the people in it. I heard from a Christian friend recently that all Christians sin, every day. While this is very true she went onto say that this was 'her' sin that she is committing. Willingly and knowing she is going against God and what His word says, BUT this does not justify your action. You still have to take responsibly for the sin.
She says no sin is bigger than the other and this is my sin. But what I heard today really sunk in.
****Yes, a sin CAN be bigger than another sin. If it only affects you,then it's small. But when it touches and effects many others than it IS a big sin.*****. I never thought about it in such a way.

Sigh------Why would you purposely want to steer from Gods plan, lose His guidance, not let Him be in control! That to me is more scary than cutting hair with a blindfold on.

18 month check up

Ellie is in great health. She is 23 pds and 31 inches long. We were told she has the motor skills of a 3 1/2 year old. She truly is amazing and we are so blessed to have her in our lives.

Ellie is hanging with the boys today while I have my thirty-one bag party! Look at how cute this picture is!!

Movie night

Steve and I borrowed a movie from his parents called Lawless. It was a non-fictional movie which took place in good 'ol Franklin Co. about moonshining. I have to say that I was pretty pleased with the movie. I enjoyed the actors and the era of the movie. Although I found myself having a hard time letting go of the death grip on my pillow. I felt very anxious, kinda nauseated, my heart was hurting and I asked Steve if he felt the same way. He totally agreed.
I said to him that I felt as if after all we have experienced in the past months with shootings and violence, that I am more emotional. I believe also having a kid has made me EVEN MORE emotional.
This is the 1st movie I have sat and watched in over a year! I have many on my list that I WANT TO watch but finding the time doesn't seem to happen. Possibly now after feeling what I felt during this movie, I may adjust my 'to see' movie list to strictly Disney/Pixar movies. Something light hearted. I don't like to watch people suffer, get raped or abuse people with a handicap. It's just different to me. I take it to heart a little too seriously these days.

Some may say just see it as a movie, but I can't take my feelings and put them aside.

Time flies by. I was just looking at my pregnancy photos and had a hard time remembering how it felt to have that big bump. Then I got teary eyed. Our bodies are truly amazing!! Being able to carry a child is a wonderful experience. ;-)

Weight update!

I forgot to mention that I've lost 4.5 pds. I am the lowest on the scale I have been in over a year. Still not at my pre baby weight but only 8pds away from that. Crazy how I keep losing the weight but it looks different since my body is now shaped differently (since baby ). Happy update ;-)

White Geisha's 2013!!

Sunday was spent working with some amazing talented artist. I could do this EVERY DAY!! To think of a vision and see it come to play is AWESOME! We were downtown just off Jefferson (near Subway) at a photographer's studio named Tom Hikaru Lim. I can not wait to see what he can do with these photos. Maggie is working on getting some hair shoots published in Salon Source magazine. I assisted her with helping create the wigs look. She and I have known each other for over 10 years! I used to cut Maggie's hair when she would skip high school to come to her appointments. She truly has taken off in her career and I can't wait to see what's next. I am thinking a "Spring" collection photo shoot would be awesome ;-)

Had a fun day with EJ. We went to Ihop this morning and then just hung around together. She is just a joy and is growing up so much. She is 18 months old almost. GUYS! Can you believe that!!! It's been 27 months since before she was "existing". TIME FLIES BY!!!!!!!! Yes, yes if
you want to know, I DO have baby fever. But I also want a bigger house and my secret dream. In Gods timing it will all happen to His plan.
Right now we are concentrating on putting new windows in our house and putting in a new vanity upstairs in Steve's bathroom. I believe we may need to rent a storage box to get rid of the basement clutter so we can get this house sold. Of you think about it, pray for Gods directio and that I might find patience to wait on God;-) I just get so excited and love new things. Guilty pleasure=money loss.
