Cousin time

Week 1 reporting in

So I have been consistently on Weight Watchers for 1 week. I could have 33 points a day. Eat what you may like but just know how many points each item carries. Well for my first week I lost 5.5 pounds. I got down to 7 pds at one point but realized I was not giving my body enough. I seem to take things to the extreme at times.

I joined online and pay a fee monthly to help keep me on track through my phone. I have been using their recipes online as well. It better to make your own food and not eat out as much or eat processed food. Drink lots and lots of water as well. I believe this can help me lose that last 20-22 pds left from Ellie weight. Well that's the goal at least.

This week I can only have 32 points a day. As I lose weight that number goes down and then you maintain once you hit your goal weight. Thanks for your help and support as I take this once again journey.

Don't read if your super emotional...like me.

I know bad news is reported all the time. Evil is all around us and will continue to be. I am just so sad, have been crying for a while now. I just read on Fox News about a Nanny in New York that took the lives of 2 children. One was 6 and one was 2. She was 'under stress financially' and she just broke. She then took her own life in front of the mother of the 2 children who walked in on her.

God please tell me you were there when this happened. That you held their hands and made it quick. That you calmed their fear and helped them see something BEAUTIFUL and happy. Why must young ones suffer when so young and innocent. Suffer at the hand of someone who has lost their mid.

I can barely type right now, I am so broken. Dad.....your words please.

Our day went like this....

Well the pictures uploaded out of order. But I am sure you get it ;)

So much fall

29 years!

Today is my birthday day. What a wonderful day it has been. I feel no different today than yesterday and even no different than last year's birthday. I find myself focusing more on what's coming up in the future and getting excited for the unknown, but not sad to grow older. I love my family, life, what I do for a living and I feel that this is exactly where I am to be in this moment.

I thank mom and dad for giving me life and always being great parents. Your love is unconditional and I thank you. I am grateful for my sisters. You both hold a special place in my heart. My in laws whom I love very much. Who I get along with very well, are such a blessing to have. They love Ellie and I so much. Steve, who God put in my life at the right moment . Who captured my heart 4 years ago, and still makes me happy and grateful.

See life is just great!! Happy 29 years of life. Thanks God for all that you have done and will continue to do in my life. :)

Shew! Tonight was a doozy!!

Marriage can be demanding and overwhelming and we don't know where to start. Start here, Paul says. Do for your spouse what God did for you in Jesus. And the rest will follow.

The secret is this-
The gospel of Jesus and marriage explain one another. When God invented marriage He had the saving work of Jesus in mind.

C.S. Lewis

One of the worse things you can do to your heart.

“To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.”

Steve wanted me to share his shrimp dinner. He caught these with his own hands. Very proud!

Ellie and Nana have on matching vests. How cute are they?

How Firm a Foundation

How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord,
Is laid for your faith in His excellent Word!
What more can He say than to you He hath said,
You, who unto Jesus for refuge have fled?

In every condition, in sickness, in health;
In poverty’s vale, or abounding in wealth;
At home and abroad, on the land, on the sea,
As thy days may demand, shall thy strength ever be.

Fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed,
For I am thy God and will still give thee aid;
I’ll strengthen and help thee, and cause thee to stand
Upheld by My righteous, omnipotent hand.

When through the deep waters I call thee to go,
The rivers of woe shall not thee overflow;
For I will be with thee, thy troubles to bless,
And sanctify to thee thy deepest distress.

When through fiery trials thy pathways shall lie,
My grace, all sufficient, shall be thy supply;
The flame shall not hurt thee; I only design
Thy dross to consume, and thy gold to refine.

Even down to old age all My people shall prove
My sovereign, eternal, unchangeable love;
And when hoary hairs shall their temples adorn,
Like lambs they shall still in My bosom be borne.

The soul that on Jesus has leaned for repose,
I will not, I will not desert to its foes;
That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake,
I’ll never, no never, no never forsake.

I am reading a book called: The Meaning of Marriage by Timothy Keller. I am sure to post much while God shows himself thru this book, to me:)

Jeter's Farm Day

Laura and I took the girls to the farm for some hay riding, pumpkin picking time. We had a great time. I was totally exhausted chasing Ellie so we took a nice long nap this afternoon. 😉
