The teara poured down Sunday when we sang this song. I can't type anymore because I will mess my make up this morning! Wowwwwwww

John 1:16

"16 Out of the fullness of his grace he has blessed us all, giving us one blessing after another. (Goodnews Bible )

We are so thankful to be able to spend time at the beach with all our family. To take time away from work to relax. I'm reminded every year that when we get to the beach it's a time to regroup, take a moment or two and not think of time or being "on time". When you are a hair stylist that's all I am focused on...time. Making sure I'm on track for my client and the one following that appointment and so on.

But not here, not at the beach. We get to bask in the sun (wear your sunscreen), listen to the waves and birds. Hear the children giggle and scream in excitement of running away from the waves.

I am blessed and thankful for all that I have. It's because of Him.

Max30 month 1 complete

Month 1 complete of #max30. This morning I am beginning month 2 of #max30. But first I had to share my results with you guys. To let you know I am still in this and can't WAIT to see what happens in the next month. I have a couple more pictures I will post. My favorite change in these 2 pictures is the lift in my tush. From the side angle that is, you can tell the shelf is being made. The lift it has been given, it doesn't look flat/floppy and attached straight down to my leg anymore. I want that shelf to be more defined. My stomach is going down because my inches that I measure every Friday say so! I will share with you also where I started with beginning Max30 and where I finished month 1 at. Results! Results!!!!

My backside angle is my favorite. I'm getting a better, tighter tush.

Here are my measurements/numbers from when I started Max:30.

Weight: 196.            Weight: 188
Chest: 38.                Chest: 36

Great words of encouragement

BE ENCOURAGED

“But God who encourages those who are discouraged…”  2 Corinthians 7:6

Have you ever been down in the dumps? Found yourself fighting discouragement? Well join the crowd. We all have those moments. But the good news is that God is not absent during those times, He is always there to give us a boost when we need it, because God is an encourager.

He spoke to Joshua right after he assumed the leadership of Israel and said, “This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

Then do you remember what He said to Jesus when He was water baptized? “...This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.” (Matthew 3:17 NLT)

Ever wondered why God said those things to Joshua and to Jesus? I don’t know for certain but it sure seems like they both needed a little encouragement. So God gave them some encouraging words that would ring in their ears and in their hearts as they prepared to face some huge challenges.

The Bible urges us to use our words in such a way that they, our words, encourage the people around us. You see words can either tear down or they can lift up. Listen to what the Bible says in Ephesians 4:29,

Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

God encourages us with His words, He’ll use people to encourage us with their words, and we can even encourage ourselves with our own words. So let’s do what the Bible says and “...encourage each other and build each other up…” (1 Thessalonians 5:11)

So encourage yourself today by saying this:

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I have the mind of Christ, and I am full of wisdom and discernment. I make good decisions. God’s favor surrounds me like a shield. Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. I am more than a conqueror through Christ. I’m a winner, not a loser, I’m going forward not backward. My best days are ahead of me, In Jesus’ Name, Amen!”

Get God, get fit!

17 This is what the Lord says—
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the Lord your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go.

Isaiah 48:17

Who's direction do you tend to take? Yours? The one your parents planned for you? The boyfriend who pushes you his way? Your high school teachers?

I believe that no other direction is the right path because it is forced. Gods path is a choice you take. He doesn't push us to do His plans. He gives us free will. A choice to believe in Him and take faith in it, that His ways will be better, even stronger than ours. He doesn't force Himself upon us.

"In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 4:7

This new, healthier path I have been on since April is something I have prayed about and wanted God to put a fire inside me for it. That He wouldn't let it die out. That I wouldn't fade out. To wake up anew, restored, rested and ready to complete the task of working out and eating better every day.

1 Cor 6:19-20
19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

I choose to give God the praise on this path He has kept me on. The strong will to not give up. May His name be on the tip of my lips and in my heart to give Him the praise!

Happy Monday!!!!!!!

Revelation...huh?!

So then when I read this chapter I had a weird visual of these "living creatures". They didn't seem very 'perfect' looking if they were covered in multiple eyes. (Isn't everything in heaven....perfect?) So as they are aitting there on their thrones with the other 24 elders the living creatures SPEAK and say amazing things about God. And they do this over and over and over...forever. And after every time they say this the elders fall to their knees. Ouch!!!! Dad- can you help me out?

20 days down ! Woohoo

Whew, that scripture.  Thank you, Jesus!

I should be done tonight or tomorrow morning with the whole New Testmanent. 21 days of spending time in Gods word has been so awesome! No to go BACK and dig deeper in each book would be a great idea. There is so much and I am so humbled by the Father. It was hard for me to get on here and share what I was learning. I almost felt that this was meant to be between us and for me to grow. I believe I have. In church today at City Light he went over John chapter 7 and all 52 verses. It was so great to have read it already and hear him elaborate. I know that I will NEVER learn it ALL in 21 days, I believe you will learn something new every time you read a chapter or verse. This will NEVER get old, amen!

Blessed Assurance

My king is coming soon
He will roll the clouds away
Light of heaven bursting through
- oh, what a glorious day.
This song by Matthew West came to mind when I had steve pull the car over on the Jefferson bridge so I could snap photos of the beautiful sky. They looked like rolling waves of clouds.

I have been challenged by many friends near and far to complete "21 day bible reading." And in those 21 days I will read all of the New Testament. I couldn't wait- I began my reading this evening. Steve took Ellie downstairs for movie time so I could have alone time. During this 21
Days you are asked to fast from certain things that take your focus off your spiritual walk and to participate in the Daniel fast diet. (Look that one up)

I can always think of many ways as to why I don't fit in reading the word. I'm too tired in the morning, too late at night, Ellie's bothering me, I can't focus on getting into the word when I need to try to focus on exercising and getting healthy, it's just too much, Steve is working late, wait- I just don't remember to, I will read it on Sunday....and on and on. Come on, I'm not alone.

But what better way to begin a new year than to dig into Gods word, plug
In, maybe even have a breakthrough. I ask to be held accountable-reminded to do it. When I try to set myself
Up to do something new,
Put my focus into it I just give up so many days in and then feel like a failure.
So--here's to 2015 with God at my side like He has always been. Just trying to put my perspective back  in line.
