Catch up
Here are some pictures to catch everyone up.
Just last night I got to meet up with 3 friends from high school. Katherine Heath, Casey Templeton and Brett Lemon. We are in charge of putting together the 10 year class reunion. We had a great time just catching up with each other. Amazing to see where we all are in our lives.
This morning Ellie passed out while I drove her to Uma's. She is just the cutest thing EVER to me. I love when I have a day off to just be with her. She wouldn't smile for me tonight because she wanted to take my phone away from me while I tried to take a picture hahah

Hey!
Laura liz......you need to post some new pictures. OR better yet we all need a 'sister' dinner date again. Maybe Mom and Dad would take Ellie so we all don't have to juggle her around. But then again she IS cute to look at . :) hahahahah
Wait! I can't leave Dad out either. I am sure you had to have captured some shots of EJ when you all babysat for me. Come on familyyyyyyyy I check these blogs religiously to see updates because I love you all so. ;)

Late night
Late night writing that must come out so that I can fall asleep. A lot has been going on emotionally around me. Maybe its been since the death of my client's niece and her unborn baby? I feel that I am at this age where a lot of people I know are passing away and people are hurting and its all coming as a shock or Like a freak accident.
Tonight I was told about someone I know thru a friend that this boy passed away. I met him a few times at the salon because he was engaged to a girl from Onyx. He died Monday evening on route 311. His brother is in critical condition STILL and his family needs our prayers so much. I could not imagine losing 2 children in a matter of days if his brother does not make it in the hospital.
Steve and I were just discussing about HOW MUCH we love Ellie already and she is only 13 months old. But can we imagine how much we will love her when she is 10, 15 or even 25? The love we will invest into her over the years and we can not begin to feel nor understand what these parents are going through.
Makes you hug your child a little longer, kiss your husband a few more times that morning or call someone that has been hurting and make amends with them. WHEN IS YOUR TIME UP!??
Our time here on this earth should be spent with the ones who love us and who we love as well. To be with our families who have invested years of love into us and our children. To stay connected with one another. These sad tragic accidents only bring me closer to God and my family. But sometimes the "tragedy" in your life is something else.
Maybe I am just extra emotional tonight and feeling something in my heart but I know it's hurting. Hurting for many people, people whom I don't know personally. I guess it's a love pain. A momma pain. I just want more people to feel this ache then I believe people would change. This I believe could click on some many levels but I am now too tired to type more. I must pass out.

Cheese puffs
Ellie definitely takes my "yearout" side when it comes to cheese. She loves cheese puffs, grilled cheese, slices of cheese and Mac-n-cheese.

Big Girl
Ellie has advanced into a bigger car seat. Our baby is growing up healthy and quickly. As I was driving I heard her making this wet smacking sound with her lips. You can see the drool all over her chin and going down her neck. Hahah
Ashes Remain - Everything Good
I have listened to this song MANY TIMES but I do believe TODAY it has brought new meaning to life and my surroundings.
We are not a church, we are His people
CityLight is the name of the church we have been attending. They have been at this location for 3 years ( The Dumas Center) and now the time has come to look for a new location. To be centered somewhere in the City because people come from Catawba, Franklin Co, Grandin, Salem and Roanoke attend. If you know of a location that would be open for us to attend and use to invite others to join us and worship then please let me know!! As of September 1st we are outta there. :(
In service on Sunday we were going over Ephesians 2:19-22. Pastor Derek talked about how we shouldn't say I go to 'church'. That a church can move to a new location, take a new name but that we are to evolve and go with the new habitat we are given. God is the cornerstone on which we stand, and we are the foundation for which to help other believers to come together and grow. We come to a center location to worship with other believers. To give him praise and share the word with one another. The word 'church' has been beaten down and frowned upon by so many people that it even leads to KILLING one another. Remember Jesus said: "They hated me first". I am thankful for a gathering place. It helps to bring all focus and attention to Him. Not to think about work, what could I be doing. To stand in His presence with other believers is truly amazing. To sing and cry out to Him saying:
[Verse 1]
I see the King of glory
Coming on the clouds with fire
The whole earth shakes, the whole earth shakes
I see His love and mercy
Washing over all our sin
The people sing, the people sing
[Chorus]
Hosanna, hosanna
Hosanna in the highest (x2)
[Verse 2]
I see a generation
Rising up to take the place
With selfless faith, with selfless faith
I see a near revival
Stirring as we pray and seek
We're on our knees, we're on our knees
[Chorus]
[Bridge]
Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like You have loved me
Break my heart for what breaks Yours
Everything I am for Your Kingdom's cause
As I walk from earth into eternity
Being in a 'church' doesn't make you a Christian. Sitting in Steve's car doesn't make me a BMW. You have to claim Jesus as your Savior and believe that He died for you and your sins. That He will return one day to gather us all and take us to Heaven. Turn from your old self and proclaim to lean on God for strength and direction.

Sidekick
I found myself testing out Ellie's elephant sandwich cutter. Tasted pretty good ;) I felt like I was back in preschool and Mom just made my lunch.
Ellie joined me on a 2 mile walk/jog this evening after the rain. It did NOT cool anything down like I thought it would. She likes to hear out music while we are pushing her around. She bops up and down no matter what. Precious ;)
