Revelation...huh?!

So then when I read this chapter I had a weird visual of these "living creatures". They didn't seem very 'perfect' looking if they were covered in multiple eyes. (Isn't everything in heaven....perfect?) So as they are aitting there on their thrones with the other 24 elders the living creatures SPEAK and say amazing things about God. And they do this over and over and over...forever. And after every time they say this the elders fall to their knees. Ouch!!!! Dad- can you help me out?

  1. "forever and ever" in verses 10 refer to the the words immediately preceding them -- which is "Him who lives." "Him who lives forever and ever" is the Lord God. Verse 9 describes God in a very similar way. There it adds "who sits on the throne," to the description.
I think what the 24 elders do in these verses is a one time thing, but the actions of the "4 living creatures" (whatever they are) seem to be continuous.
Of course all of this is future, and the language is often figurative, so we can't be exactly sure of our interpretation. We'll not understand it fully until we're there.
