This morning I was reading about Jochebed in my devotional. She had to be a strong, trusting, faithful, loyal woman of God. She is the mother of baby Moses. Back in the day baby boy's were being taken down to the Nile and drowned and Jochebed kept her son from being found hiding him very well in the hut. He must have been a quiet baby for the men to not find him((God kept him quiet for he already knew the future of Moses and what he would do for many people.))
I was trying to get a grasp on how much trust Mom must have had to take her son down to the Nile river and watch him float away in a crocodile filled river in order to save her son from the men killers. Looking at this you would think this baby had no chance on land NOR water.
But God is everywhere. God gave her the knowledge to make a basket strong enough to keep Moses from drowning, He gave her the 'plan' to put him in a basket and gave her trust that He would provide Moses with anything protection, love from another woman to care for him.
Becoming a mother some day soon, my heart was thinking...could I just send my little girl off down a river in a basket to protect her from the enemy and in just plain downright FAITH know she would be protected.....WOW! I believe I need to make my trust STRONGER in the Lord and know that this child he has given Steve and I is a miracle He created and that this is HIS child. To put her in his hands every day and pray for her every day. That she will grow in the lord as well and who knows maybe do great things for this world.
