Today just got better and better. Daddy, dadddy pleaseeeeee will you buy this car for me!!! We stopped so that I could take pictures beside it on the way home from The Bono's. It caught my eye as we drive up route 116 just past Mike's Nursery on the right. I still have NOT stopped talking about this. The prettiest blue EVER!!! With some orange outlining. You gotta click on the pictures to see a better view. I told Steve, if only I had 13,000 in savings this would be MY baby. =) Dad, I know you will appreciate this and how my heart beats so fast when I look at the pictures. Ahhhhhh, one day will I ever own an 'old' car. ??
Too cute! One day you might be able to drive an old car...keep the dream!
ReplyDeleteCheck the year though...the license plate on the car says '47? :)
Nope, for some reason the plate said THAT and the paper in the window said '53?? how is that
ReplyDeleteThe car can be no later than a '48 or '49. I know because we had two of them when I was a kid. One of them was a parts car that we salvaged parts from to keep the other one running. I can still remember the unique sound the car made as it came up through the gears, sort of a "whine."
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the new Honda Crosstour, I was immediately turned off, because it reminded me of an old Fleetline. The fender skirts on this one would have to go if I owned it.
And another thing... The reason you don't have 13K in savings is because you buy shiny cars. Just kidding, Sweetheart, you know I love you. You got your love for cars honestly -- from your car-crazy Dad. It took me 40 years to kick the habit, and I still feel the hot rod urge from time to time.
